- Every item has an identity. Not “the third saree from Mrs. Sharma” — a specific, scannable code tied to the order, the service, and the expected date.
- Every movement is a scan. Into a workshop manifest, out at the workshop, back to the shop, handed to the customer. Each scan is a timestamped record.
- “Is it ready?” becomes a lookup, not a search. Staff scan or type the code and instantly see the item’s status and location.

Paper tokens were fine when one person handled everything. But tokens smudge, tear, and get detached. Two customers named Sharma become a guessing game. And a token tells you a number — it doesn’t tell you where the garment is right now.
