Most growing dry cleaners in India end up with the same setup: several small collection shops and one central workshop or factory where the actual cleaning happens. The riskiest moment for any garment is the trip between the two. A handwritten challan can't tell you which shirt didn't make it onto the van.
How a manifest works
- Build the manifest. At the shop, scan each tagged garment into a new shop → workshop manifest. Group garments into trays if you use them.
- Seal and dispatch. Record the seal number and dispatch. The manifest is now locked — you can print it as a PDF to travel with the bags.
- Receive item by item. At the workshop, staff scan garments in. UltraClean shows exactly which items have arrived and which haven't.
- Return the same way. Finished garments travel back on a workshop → shop manifest, and the shop sees incoming manifests and trays before the van arrives.
What the workshop team sees
- A workshop queue of every garment waiting to be processed, filterable by status and type
- Status updates from the queue as garments move through cleaning, QC and packing
- Quality control: log a defect with a photo, ask the customer for consent, track re-cleans
- Throughput reports — garments processed per day and week
What the owner gets
A full audit trail for every garment's journey, a live view of what's at the workshop versus what's at each shop, and the end of "the van must have dropped it" disputes. Manifests are available on the Professional and Enterprise plans — see pricing.
